Dialects
Letters and words
Are interesting
All reflections of one thing
But in so many
Forms, sounds
And meanings
Let's not start on the grammar
Because like the letters, words
They draw on a universal timbre
The human mind and spirit
Life that's been molded
Into the human imprint
The same intellect
Unpicking the same world
Looking for a way to express
We give these languages names
But I prefer to call them dialects
Of one language, human
That experience so big
As to eclipse every word
We create to cram meaning into
Our dictionaries but shadows
And shorthand
To unpack and expand
As we get back to the start
That conscious awareness
Flowing between
Our brain and our heart
The first language, in its true form
Inexpressible art
