I went to a great at event looking at nature, seasons and poetry at the Singleton Environment Centre on Thursday. I was inspired to write this. Check them out for some nature and environment based happenings. I'll be do a poetry event there as part of Friends of Singleton Lake.
What is that spark
That lights the human match
The origin from which
Great ideas and deeds hatch
Passion
What is the fuel
That moves those
To challenge unjust rule
Study hard at school
Passion
What can be seen
Felt and heard
Through actions
And in words
Passion
The light
That shines behind eyes
The quest to answer
All of the whys
Passion
The prime mover
In the smallest, the biggest
Making paths
Through the mist
Passion
The difference
Between a dream
And reality's sweet gleam
You know I mean
Passion
That essence
That brings people together
In something biggers presence
Spreading like smiles in good weather
Passion
The oxygen that returns
Embers to flames
Inspires people
To take up the reins
Passion
Passion
Adrenaline for the soul
Passion
That which makes someone
Alive and whole
