I am a poet based in Folkestone, UK. I have been writing for several years and draw my influences from poets such as Rumi, Bob Dylan and Scroobius Pip.

I graduated with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies. I now enjoy reading and learning about philosophy, psychology and physics; with a strong interest in yoga, meditation and tea. My poems tend to draw on these interests, some with a social outlook as well.

I enjoy performing my poetry at events and run an open mic every Sunday 2pm until 5pm at The Lime Bar, Folkestone. My first book Visible Thoughts is out now and details of where to get can be found on my Shop Page. I hope poetry becomes an increasingly large part of my life!

Beyond poetry, and an obligatory day job, I am involved in my community and part of a group, Folkestone Cantiaci, exploring sustainable living and growing the community. I also blend teas with a friend for a local micro pub. I do commissions, I’d love to hear from you.

Kind regards,

David James Horn
