What does it mean to be a thing?
It is my experience
That a good question
Rarely has an answer
And one of the best
Was asked
By Aristotle no less
Asking 'What does it mean
To be a thing?'
Quite brilliant
Where to even begin?!
The search could
Wear out the mind
Of even the most resilient
Eating up logic
And process
Returned to sender
As Christmas lights
A tangled, chaotic mess
That is why
It is so brilliant
There is no answer
Just a gateway to a mindset
Endless joy and fulfilment
Because what does it mean
To be a thing?
There are so many
There's you, me, trees
The Pleiades
There can be
Only one response
To a question like this
To live curiously
And with wonder
Lost in all
Of life's miracles
The taste of coffee
The dancing of bees
The rumble of thunder
Observation,
Appreciation
And joy-i-fication
No one answer
But an invitation
