Strolling down
A lamp bathed street
Cobbles and reflections
Under my feet
I flow
I flow with the recent rains
Shining my route
Removing the day's stain
With the Christmas light
Beautiful and bright
Life at this time of year
Is more beautiful at night
Caries more on its breeze
Than can be captured
With sight
And as I flow
With the street trickle
At my side below
I begin
To slow
Caught by the glint
From a Christmas tree
That living thing
Endowed with
Human luminosity
That glint is a wink
A window, on the year gone by
A flick book of every smile
And tear cried
A stream of memories
I live each one
Simultaenously
High and low
Sunshine and snow
I see how I have grown
The glint gives me a secret
A sneak peak
I see the seeds I have sown
And a hint
At where they are going
This electric blue l.e.d
Piercing the veil
Between now
And the future unknown
Time that has not yet flown
The gift of the season
The year in review
Plus a little preview
My feet resume
Down this outside room
And I follow
The trickle once more
Through the lamp lit gloom
Held
In December's sweet bloom
