Long Minutes

A moment so beautiful
It hung for an age
It warped time
And freed it
From it’s cage

The minutes were changed
They were altered
Like the universal laws
Had faltered
They were long minutes

Not short, not standard
Not even medium
Their length reached
Like the wafting scent
Of a peach

These long minutes
They rolled into eachother
Like waves
As they swallowed thought
And they swallowed gaze

Every minute must be long
When it carries
The Universe’s song
