Those Ships They Sail In The Morning

Those ships they sail in the morning
Laden and rigged they wait
For the sun and the new day
To be dawning
The journey to freedom
Their mandate
Those ships they sail in the morning

Those ships they sail in the morning
Filled with those who’ve had enough
Sick of promises turned bluff
Done with the greed and the rush
At all costs to succeed
Done with those content to let the world blead
Those ships they sail in the morning

Those ships they sail in the morning
Away from the rulers
That ignored the people
Their protests and their warnings
Bought by banks
And rich from selling tanks
Those ships they sail in the morning

Those ships they sail in the morning
The people wave goodbye
Back to better ways
Away from career debaters
And their corrupt political dyes
Blinded by the greed in their eyes
Those ships they sail in the morning

Those ships they sail in the morning
To a place of community and growth
A place where they see what they have
And of it make the most
Where peace is treasured
And no bombs fill the sky
Those ships they sail in the morning
