Don’t Forget To Be A Human

‘I just sold my company
Got a cool two mil’
So what
What is that money
Really worth?
People’s lives?
The cost of this earth?

I mean I get money
Safety, security even some enjoyment
A little peace of mind
But mate
When you’re buying
Jewel encrusted dog collar
That shit ain’t funny

At what cost does your money come?
At who’s cost does it come
Forget decadent toys and think
Joy is in the simple things
So have your money
You’ve earned it
Just don’t forget to be a human

We
This world
We’re a community
And like it or not
We all share
A common
Unity

Is the value
Of that money so great
As to justify the way
You blindly fixate
Liberally unleash your hate
As you tightly guard your love

At what cost does your money come?
At who’s cost does it come
Forget decadent toys and think
Joy is in the simple things
So have your money
You’ve earned it
Just don’t forget to be a human

And lets be real
This world ain’t infinite
But it could be if we just tried
Look out your window
Have you seen
What we’re doing
To the environment?

When the waters going, air scarcely flowing
The sun beating down
Do you think anyone will care?
What good will your money be there?
Then as it should be now
It’ll be all about chipping in and
Helping with a real share

At what cost does your money come?
At who’s cost does it come
Forget decadent toys and think
Joy is in the simple things
So have your money
You’ve earned it
Just don’t forget to be a human
